Every set of Skookum pickups is something special. We use the finest materials available on the market and each pickup is meticulously wound for exceptional tone. Skookum sets are wound and ready to ship in a collectible metal tin!

Hey Bootstrappers, we took our popular Vintage Pro set and made it Skookum! This is the classic S-style tone and remains one of our most popular single coil sets. This set sports a vintage stagger with alnico 5 magnets wrapped to a moderate output with genuine USA-made plain enamel wire, and ships immediately in a nifty laser-engraved tin!

Bridge

• Vulcanized fiber bobbins in gray and black
• 42 AWG plain enamel copper wire
• ALNICO 5 magnets in raised D stagger
• Gavitt push-back cloth leads with 22 AWG pre-tinned wire for easy installation
• Lightly potted in a mix of beeswax and paraffin
• Specs: 2.2H, 84pF, 5.8 kOhm

Middle

• Vulcanized fiber bobbins in gray and black
• 42 AWG plain enamel copper wire
  
• ALNICO 5 magnets in raised D vintage stagger
  
• Gavitt push-back cloth leads with 22 AWG pre-tinned wire for easy installation
• Lightly potted in a mix of beeswax and paraffin
• RWRP for hum-canceling when used with neck or bridge
• Specs: 2.2H, 97pF, 5.7 kOhm

Neck

Specs readings are approximate and may vary based on a variety of factors. Different devices may give different readings. We measure with a calibrated DE-5000 at 72 deg F. Inductance (H) readings are taken in Ls @100Hz; Capacitance (pF) is taken in Cp at 100 kHz. Please note that many inexpensive LCR meters will use very different frequencies and settings for measuring L and C and may vary significantly from our measurements because of this.
