Bootstrap Pruno™ Set for S-Style

Like the prison wine they're named after, these pickups pack quite a punch!  We loaded a single coil set with .25" ALNICO 5 slug magnets and wound the h*ck outta them. A big magnet + a big coil = tons of output for loud, dirty tone.

They don't clean up well and are not fit for polite company.

Under The Hood

• Vulcanized fiber bobbins
• 43 AWG enameled copper wire
  
• 0.25" ALNICO 5 poles
• RW/RP middle pickup for noise cancellation
• Push-back cloth leads with 22 AWG pre-tinned wire for easy installation
• Lightly potted in a mix of beeswax and paraffin
• Chrome height adjustment screws and spring
• ~14.8K* all positions
  

*Please note that resistance values are approximate and may vary due to a number of factors. We accept a tolerance of +/-10% K Ohms. Bootstrap Pickups winds to a set wind count, not resistance. 

These pickups are aftermarket replacement pickups designed to be drop-in compatible with USA-dimension Stratocaster guitars without routing of pickguard or guitar body. Stratocaster is a registered trademark of the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) and the use of this product name is solely to identify drop-in compatibility with specific models of guitars for this set of pickups as we cannot guarantee compatibility with all makes and models of guitars. We use either all-black vulcanized fiber bobbins or gray bottom and black top vulcanized fiber bobbins depending on material availability. If you have a preference for either bobbin cover, please leave a note at checkout and we are happy to accommodate. Pruno sets do not come with covers as they use oversized top flatwork.
